The THAI-WA LUPIN PODUCTS Co., LTD is a jointly owned company between Thailand and Australian business partners. The company was developed through the long-term friendship, business relationships and cooperation between Thailand and Western Australia.
The decision to focus on the unique attributes of the Australian Sweet Lupin, was due to the extensive market research undertaken by ATQ Consulting & Advisory firm, that confirmed the future premium consumer trends of focussing on superfoods convenience and plant-based protein, with the added benefits of lupins being; Gluten free, NON-GMO, NO Transfat, low GI, low calorie and the ADDITIONAL BONUS of containing naturally high protein, fibre, potassium and magnesium.
Australian Lupin Farm
“Australian business partners Mr Glen and Mr Todd Quartermaine, from the DOWERIN LUPIN JOINT VENTURE PTY LTD Company, come from a long and proud history of agriculture farming in Western Australia. Their farming business is owned and operated by the Quartermaine family with elder parents Mr Tony and Mrs Barbara Quartermaine still actively involved and working in the farm business.
Mr Glen and Mr Todd have 3 children each, who have all been raised on the farm and educated in Perth. The farm is very big lands in Western Australia, comprising of over 20,000 acres, where agriculture crops of Australian Sweet Lupins, Barley, Canola, Wheat and fodder straw and hay are grown each year.
In addition, the farm produces and feeds over 4,000 head of beef cattle per year. These cattle are fed the very high nutrition crops and food produced on the Quartermaine farm, including the Australian Sweet Lupin, which is very good for animal health as well. The Quartermaine’s have also established a trading business to export their Australian Sweet Lupin and beef to Asia and believe that the Australian Sweet Lupin can be a very good superfood for humans all around the world.
Having first visited Thailand in 2013, by special and honourable invitation from the Thailand Board of Investment-Sydney office and the former ‘His Excellency Ambassador Maris Sangiampongsa’ at the Royal Thai Embassy Canberra Australia,

the CEO Miss Natsirikorn KALAYANASANT was successfully approved for the lupin human food product research and development program named, Innovation and Technology Assistance Program or ITAP, under the Thailand National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of Science and Technology, kindly supported and assisted by the Food Innopolis and Silpakorn University.
following on from the successful completion of the ITAP lupin R&D program the THAI-WA LUPIN PODUCTS Co., LTD was born and created. The THAI-WA LUPIN PRODUCTS company is firmly built on the foundations of friendship, business relationships and cooperation between Thailand and Western Australian business partners including our special Thailand partner Tanyapattana Co., Ltd., who collectively share the single common goal and purpose of providing a complete range of the unique lupin-based food products, to discerning and premium consumers across all of Asia, Australia and global markets.
